Calderdale Model Aircraft club was set up in the 1940's to cater for model flying in and around the Halifax area. |
|
|
Today it is a friendly club with a good mix of helicopters, fixed wing and even some control line! |
|
|
There is usually someone flying at the main site most afternoons at the weekends and on tuesday and thursday nights throughout the summer. |
|
|
Here are some good reasons for joining the club:- |

- Private flying field with:-
- Mown grass strip
- Rural location away from any major obstacles.
- Parking on field within easy reach of flight line.
- Flying 365 days a year from 10am till 9pm.
- Access to second council site.
- Access to various local slope sites.
- Affiliated membership of the BMFA with the associated benefits including BMFA insurance.
- Training for novices.
- Club trainer available for use.
