About us |
Calderdale Model Aircraft Club was set up sometime in the 1940's (trying to find out more details) to cater for model flying in and around the Halifax area. |
Today it is a friendly club with a good mix of egg whisks (helicopters), planks (fixed wing) and even some control line!! We have old duffers and wet-behind-the-ear spring chickens. |
There is usually someone flying at the main site most afternoons at the weekends and on Tuesday and Thursday nights throughout the summer. |
Here are some good reasons for joining club:- |
- Private flying field with:-
- Mown grass strip
- Rural location away from any major obstacles
- Parking on field within easy reach of flight line.
- Flying 365 days a year from 10am till 9pm.
- Access to second council site.
- Access to various local slope sites
- Affiliated with the BMFA, insurance included in BMFA membership.
